Desktop Outlook Access

Please can anyone help?

Is there anyway to get access to the Desktop Outlook the same as within the outlook.dll. I have a outlookdesktop.dll but it just gives an error when added as a component.

From the help file:

The OutlookDesktop library is a "dummy" library which includes all the methods and properties of this library, but without any functionality. You can use the OutlookDesktop to help you write the code on the desktop.

No functionality, no error message either

Btw you should have posted in the "questions and help needed" section instead of
"Code samples and tips"

Sorry I understand the forum sections now but what did you mean by the outlookdesktop.dll has no functionality (isnt that the point of a dll) and how can I look at the code on outlookdesktop.dll.
