Not sure if this is the right thread but I just discovered that the emulator creates temp files (mine were about 80mb each). I found about 3.6gb worth.
I discovered this as I was a bit low on disc space. Dont know if this is an issue to others or if it has been mentioned before.
The files were in the directory:
c:\users\username\AppData\Local\Temp\AndroidEmulator
username will be your user.
I just deleted them.
