B4J Question FCM - Create Topic String Length

Does anyone know if there is a restriction on the maximum string length when creating a FCM topic (for the client) to subscribe to?

For example, I need to create a (unique) FCM topic (for my FCM app account) such as "Blaine Lake (RM) Division 1".

For example:
The above topic string will be built from combining 2 strings from 2 tables:
Table 1: "Blaine Lake (RM)"
Table 2: (foreign key into) "Division 1"

I have explored Google FCM documents and cannot find any reference to string length restrictions.

Any Suggestions that may work better (such as string value converted to byte value)?

Thanks

Thanks Don for your research.

I see what you (and the link) means...
I think I can work with these constraints.
I shall experiment to see what works - based on my original concept.

Any quick formula to concat my string into a md5 would be helpful.

Aside: Do you ever sleep? You reply night and day - regardless of timezone!
You and Erel share the same TZ (- universe)...

Thanks

Not really. I´m in TZ GMT +1 and i am answering here at 6AM to 8AM (before i go to work). And i am answering here in the Evening (after work) from 5PM till 10PM. 10PM to 6AM i am sleeping.

In the last weeks (over xmas) i was in holiday and had much more time to answer here.
7AM till 11PM :D
But holiday is over :mad::(:D

And my way to work is not really far away. My route to work is about 150 METERS :D
