Hi
Does B4A have a mechanism to detect changes to a given directory - e.g. fire an event when a new file is created.
We have various external processes that can result in a new file arriving in a device - the ability to automatically copy the file contents to a bluetooth serial port rather than requiring the user to select it would be great.

You can create a service that checks periodically if there are changes to the folder.
If it detects changes then run the required code ...

If I had time almost to do a library is really very commonplace

Thanks for the reply, I was hoping to avoid repeated polling if possible, but if that's what it takes.
