My travel agent usually pre-books me a window seat when flying within South Africa (mostly Durban to Cape Town and back or Durban to Johannesburg and back). This moring I was flying from Durban to Johannesburg and used a simple app that I have assembled from the following B4A postings to get some info about the flight (Yes, my device was in flight mode but I switched on the GPS to test it - the GPS signal reception is very good when one has a window seat):

2. https://www.b4x.com/android/forum/threads/7-segment-led-digital-clock.52807/
3. https://www.b4x.com/android/forum/threads/gps-tutorial.6592/
This is the result of the flight (I started the app just as we were about the enter the runway to take-off from Durban to Johannesburg but only started taking screen shots some 15min and 17 sec into the flight):
The 7 segment displays are (from top to bottom)
1. Speed in km/h
2. Time travelled from when START was pressed
3. Distance travelled in km
The gauge indicates the speed in km/h
