Format SD Card

Has anyone figured out how to format an SD card from the PDA using B4PPC, or from C#?

Formatting

I am very surprised no one else has come across a need to format a card in the device.

I run a database on the card. As the cards become older they get fragmented, and formatting them seems to resolve the issure for a resonable amount of time. It would be nice to be able to do this maintenance from within the application.

I don't believe it is possible to format an SD card on a Windows Mobile device using the OS or its' standard tools. There do seem to be third party solutions but I've never used one. You would need one you could "Shell" that took an argument list to do what you want.

This is the same conclusion that I am coming to. I notice that the shFormat (shell format) is missing from the pocket pc. I'm going to continue to look, I assume it has to be able to be done from the Windows api.

i know app for formating cards.this app can be runned with parametrs.but i'm forget name of this program =(((
