Anyone who has read posts about AI here will know I don't trust it's potentials further than one can type AI. I said if you thought spamming and phishing etc was clever or dangerous before - AI will make it take on the characteristics of hard core vicious sadism.....

It doesn't make sense to reject a technology just because there are bad actors who use it for nefarious reasons. Many otherwise good things can be used for nefarious reasons. Such is the nature of living on planet earth with other human beings.

nope it doesn't does it - but, as many here probably have, I and friends already receive phishing, scamming, vishing and harpooning attempts that are so much like the legitimate items should look that it has become really difficult to avoid being caught - and that is what is sad about the nature of the other human beings. Shouldn't have to put up with that should we? There again, its not like we haven't had to live with criminals for all of time, either, is it.

Such is the nature of living on planet earth with other human beings.

there's an island in the middle of the Indian ocean - i aspire to live there - less than 100 humans and far off the beaten track.

I guess the problem is that humans keep creating opportunities for nefarious purposes and by nefarious reason......

We don't need scammers that are using AI to scam the people. We do have the government that does it legitimately.
