Google Play & APK update

Hi to all,
I need to upload a software upgrade into the GooglePlay.
I wish only upgrade the code and leave the sqlite DB as it is (on the market).

So my question is :

When I upload a new apk version, the related db on the market will be replaced with the db on my device?

That is determined by your code, the update just updates the APK not the data.
