Android Question Google Policy update regarding targetSdkVersion

Email came yesterday from Google regarding pulling off the store anything that was over 2 years older than when that targetSdkVersion was released.

Is it recommended to change the targetSdkVersion > 30?

If we change all our existing apps that may have < 30 now to 30, that does buy us time until September 2022 (at least that way I read it).

Not as yet. The timelimit to raise to 31 is end of 2023
