Problem is the program hangs when I start reading from the micro controller sending data.
hope someone can help this newbie.

To insert code just use the [noparse]

[/noparse] tags, in this case, your code is large and you are using layouts, so it would be better you attached it to your post, open the IDE and click on File -> Export as ZIP.

The data being sent should end with a line feed.... that solved it.
