iOS Question Have an old iMac from 2011, could I use it with b4i and make apps?

I was given an iMac from 2011, its running High Sierra 10.13.6 right now.
I'm trying to install Xcode and Apple Configurator but my mac version is too old.
Would I be able to use this iMac for b4i app dev or is this just "junk" now?

If I am able to use this iMac, is there a guide for older devices?
Thank you

You need always the newest version of xcode, so the answer is: no
Incorrect ;) Mine is 2010 with Parallels and remote builder works fine. I also have a slightly newer Mac Mini from 2012 that I use for debug.

i have an mac mini late 2012 and i also cannot update to the latest xcode but i can use it with b4i by loading to app to the simulator. so as long as you make apps that can run on simulator you can use your old mac but it won't work if you want to install your app on a real device. at least i wasnot able to do it.

anyway i am waiting for the new mac mini to come out because i want the new M2 chip. i hope it will be this year!
