Recently purchased Win CE device, it uses version 5 build 1400 and has a Telechip, ARM926-TCC79C processor (from Maplin in the UK).

I'm hoping to use Basic4ppc with it but obviously don't want to purchase a copy until I know it works with it. ActiveSync does not work with it but it connects via the USB so I copied the 'Basic4ppc_PCC.ARM.CAB' file to the My Documents folder and ran it.

That came up with a warning saying its not compatible and may not run, but I ran it anyway. That appeared to install but would not run (can't remember original reason). Reading through the forum I noticed I needed .net version 2 so installed that, removed Basic4ppc and reinstalled.

In the remove programmes section I now have listed:
Anywhere Software Basic4ppc
Microsoft .NET CF 2.0 ENU-String Resource

Now when I try and run Basic4ppc I get an error saying
"Cannot find 'Basic2ppc' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that the required libraries are avaliable."

I get the same error trying to directly run the Basic4ppc.exe file .. any suggestions ?

Unless you are not giving us the full list, you are missing:

Microsoft .NET CF 2.0

itself.

On my device I have both of these, so I suspect you just have the ...ENU-String Resource and not the real thing.
