Android Question HELP

I have a background when it comes in java programming, but now i'm confused using this application. I want to create an application with system flow of log-in->edit profile->map->sms sending and i also want to attach a database in it to store my contacts which is i don't know how to do that. Honestly i don't know where to start. I really need this application for my case study. Can someone here show it how to start? Thank you in advance.
