Hooking into photo taken event.

Is it possible to hook into the devices onPhotoTaken event (or some other callback function) so that every time a photo is taken, the photo can be emailed to email address (or uploaded to a backup server) and then released for display in the preview window. Ideally this would run as a service.

I am thinking something similar to the way dropbox allow the automatic uploading of photos to your dropbox account. Any ideas, or possible code snippets would be much appreciated.

There is no such event (intent) in the system. I guess that Dropbox periodically checks the file system.
