I understand this is linked to dip and density and scaling but can't seem to figure out the calculation how to get from 640 to 577? Can you walk me through an example? Display Test reports physical screen size Designer reports dimensions as 480x577 Thanks!

DonManfred Expert Licensed User Longtime User May 13, 2015 #3 Your device has 480x640 But you cant use the Notificationbar in the top and also the navigationbar in the bottom. So i believe 640 - Notificationbarheight - NavigationbarHeight = 577 come to affect in your case Upvote 0

Using a fullscreen activity with no title, I'm able to position a view on the 576th line using the designer. This device is running JellyBean 4.2.2 Upvote 0
