how to access mp3 raw data for analysis

Hi,
is there some easy way how to access row data from mp3 file?
I would like to do a simple analysis, "time bookmark" the selected places within file and then play the mp3 file from desired "time bookmark".

Will concept like this work on large files?

You can do that with the Random access file library and some knowledge about the mpeg file specifications (MPEG AUDIO FRAME HEADER)

Will concept like this work on large files?
