    Hi @all

Does anyone know how to change the hostname (temporary or persitent) of an android device with a B4A-App without rooting?
I looked around with Google and Board-Search but didn't find anything. Can anybody help?

Why I want to do this:
In our company we have about 150 mobile devices with android. On the DHCP-/DNS-Server it isn't easy to find someones device(s) 'cause they are named by randoms names. I used reservations yet but the names i've give are overwritten by the devices :(

    Greetings from germany

Thank you. But in this moment I edited my post that it should do without rooting.
BTW: It would be nice to implement it in an app i've written allready.
