how to detect that user leave the app

My question is very easy.
The user is in the application.
It pushs on the home button or on back button thus it leaves the application but how to detect in my application ?

It will trigger Activity_Pause.

activity_pause does not work. It never trigger

activity_pause works but its for each activity I would like the same thing but the whole application

There is no event that will run on exit of the application. You have to capture it yourself on Activity_Pause.
