First this first, I-Need-A-Lift FaceBook Page,
I-Need-A-Lift has been developed due to the rising need for a platform to help people who like hitch-hiking in my country. Whilst the app can be used in any country though, the main outlook has been for the South African public. Public and Private users can 'offer a lift' when travelling from one place to another or 'book a lift' from available lifts should you be travelling to the same direction.
To be able to 'offer a lift', one needs to register with their mobile number (include the country code), activate their account with a secret code that gets sent to them (using their own air-time). One also needs to register a next of kin, for emergency purposes or when they are just checking in from time to time to inform their N.O.K of their current locations, using GPS coordinates.
I-Need-A-Lift is coming to the Android & Apple stores, pulery developed with b4x. You can however play around by 'install from unknown sources' here.
