I didn't notice that before! If looks like a forward search. Do Ctl-i and start typing a word and the cursor will forward search to the first appearance of the character sequence that you enter.

Doesn't Erel know all the shortcuts?

alt+3 starts compiling (without the output window, so if there is something missing, like name or something nothing seems to happen)
