Install apk from Internal storage?

I want to download the upgrade apk file to the phone's internal storage,NO SDCard. then install it. Can i do that ?

I install apk file from SDCard is OK!

If you make a folder in the root of the internal memory like /mnt/apps and download the apk there, it should install from there.
