Is Basic4Android worth it?

I hang out on the android development forum on Reddit.com and feel guilty at how easy it is for me to make an android app compared to people struggling with Java. This program is fantastic. One day I will confess to them that the programs they see are made with visual basic, it will be really funny. :)

This is for anybody that is searching the forum to see if B4A is worth the purchase price. It was only a couple of weeks ago I was in the same boat. I decided to take the plunge and let me tell you, it's well worth it. The IDE is brilliant and the support is brilliant and rapid too. I'm loving it and hope Erel and anybody else who helps out keeps up the good work.

I hope it's worth it because I just bought the 2 year option:)

I been writing apps for a year with AI but it doesn't look like AI is going to come out of beta anytime soon so I decided to move on. Hopefully I'll have a B4A app or two published before the 2 years is up!

You won't be disappointed, Tony. B4A has much more capabilities then AI. It's continuously updated, libraries are added. It is very flexible.

AI is a great idea, but it seems it won't have much of a future. The number of posts have dropped drastically since Google announced that they will shift it to MIT.
