They have already done such conversion in this forum.

No, not enough options I'm afraid.

Doing a wrapper for any Andoid library is not a simple task. It takes hours and hours to do it. More often than not one needs to go and amend/change/add to the original code to allow for various options that are not in the original code. As an example - see this wrapped by @DonManfred. Not simple at all.
