Android Question keyboard makes whole screen go white in landscape mode

Hi,

I have an issue with the keyboard in landscape mode. The activity (without the keyboard) looks like this:

When the keyboard is brought up, the screen looks like this:

which is bizarre because it's not like there isn't enough room. You should at least still be able to see from the Sign-In button and above.

Any idea how to rectify this as it looks total rubbish as is (going into portait mode isn't an option).

I have the same problem. Made sure input was set to single line, but still same problem. Samsung galaxy S3

Yeah that was the first thing I checked I have a LG G2. It works fine on my 2012 Nexus 7 tablet though.

Hi,

I have an issue with the keyboard in landscape mode.

You are getting what is called "Extract Mode" which is what Android defaults to in Landscape orientation if it thinks the area above the keyboard is too small to display appropriate info. I ran into that problem myself and it took a bit of investigating to resolve it. See my post at
