check out lesson 18, how we connect to the MySQL backend via PHP using the BANAnoDataSource. We then link the content directly to a data-base.
We dont even write an SQL command but just use parameters specified in the DataSource+DataTable. Easy peasy, off course you can feed your own SQL commands (via code)
