i played a bit with the live Wallpaper library and got a question:
is it possible to generate a background pictures in live wallpaper which are not destroyed by sprites / animated pictures ? i saw this for normal applications but ...
i have created a big Picture for the background and some sprites which are moving around, but it takes too long time to load the background picture everytime the sprites have changed.
Yes, it is possible.
You should not load the background image every time. Instead it should be loaded once to a Bitmap object. When you erase the sprite you should actually use Canvas.DrawBitmap and only draw the relevant rectangle. It should work very fast.
