LORA [IOT] MQTT B4J

Dear all,
I like to build an Lora Network without Extern Cloudservice.
Search on internet and you get a lot of information but I'm still don't know which hardware I need to built this. Much to buy but what is the right hardware.
Maybe somebody can help me out with this.

Read the forum tread's here and I 'm still can not find what is needed.

I made a project with RFM95W (868MHz) modules from HopeRf.
A bit tricky to start with, but I found some code in Internet which I could adapt to my needs.
Haven't tested other solutions, so perhaps there are better options
