B4J Question Managing Windows messages from B4J

Back in my VB6 days I used to quite regularly dive into the Windows APIs to do all sorts of weird and wonderful things.

Is there any way to do something similar in B4J - I'll limit the scope to sending and receiving low level Windows messages.

A search on "windows messages" for B4J yielded nothing relevant.

The place to start would be to look at the JNA library https://github.com/java-native-access/jna/blob/master/www/GettingStarted.md, if you are used to programming for windows, you'll probably quickly feel at home with it.
