Erel B4X founder Staff member Licensed User Longtime User Jan 20, 2026 #2 Make sure to use latest version of MLKit: https://www.b4x.com/android/forum/threads/b4x-textrecognition-based-on-mlkit.161210/#content And start with the hosted builder if possible. Once you get it working with the hosted builder, switch to the local builder. Upvote 0

Is there a workaround to make this work on version 8.9? I need to add MLKitTranslate, and I still require the local 8.9 builder because I also target iOS versions earlier than 16. Erel B4X founder Staff member Licensed User Longtime User Jan 21, 2026 #6 The latest version of MLKit will not work with B4i v8.9, however you can set the min version to 14 or 15. Just make sure to test it. Upvote 0
