Great Britain is GREAT!
Sorry guys, but I believe in freedom and so when a population feels it's time to regain control of its own destiny I am with it.
Probably in the short-term UK will suffer some kind of revenge (from financial elites) but in my opinion they voted for their good.
They chose not to adopt the euro currency. Good.
They signed special treaties. Good.
They just voted to say no to the European Commision (the real mastery in Europe) and its illiberal directives. Very good.

Please note that my post is about freedom and not about politics. I fully agree with Erel when he exhorts us to keep politics out of this forum.

They chose not to adopt the euro currency. Good.

that was already a sign that they didn't want to fully adapt.

the revenge won't come from the financial elites (only) the impact will be so big that companies will move their HQ to a "real" european country for their benefits.

others might look for other markets instead of paying extra import taxes and the likes.

we'll see how it will turn out after months/years, it's too early for that (exept for the Pound drop)

when a population feels it's time to regain control of its own destiny

i dont think that such big decisions can be made by the population.
this decision will have big effect on UK economy.
and how can people that have even not graduated take part on such decisions?

this is a good example on how democracy can destroy your country.
i believe that most where manipulated by the media and dont really understand the benefits on being part of the EU

it is very easy to manipulate people today you just need to wear a suit, glasses and if you have a DR. title you will get lots of followers.

I agree with you,@ilan, there are decisions that "the people " should not be allowed to make as they cannot grasp fully their consequences ...
Besides that, a referendum is/should be a consultation of general opinion and not be automatically made final...
It should then be analysed and a final decision would be made by "higher powers", taking all facts into consideration...
This is my opinion only....

Everyone on the radio talks about the effects on GB and EU.
I wonder if someone in Brussel will start to think about why they left and what can be done to make the union better....

In this case, consequences are immediate, even if the effectiveness of the decision will take up to 2years...
Stock are flooring, the pound is diving, UK is already loosing buying power!

I think that soon will exit other nations of the EU.
The people have to make such decisions and not just a few politicians who think only of their own pockets.
If EU then not only same currency but also the same government, as in the US.
I hope now to rethink the many politicians.

The US only became a true federation after the civil war... I believe the grand objective is/was to create an European federation BUT countries are too afraid of loosing individuality and their own powers ... yes, most politicians think only of their own pockets but when one start to think outside the box, all others shout "why?"

This is the beginning of the end of the EU.
I feel ashamed to be British today. I believe in unity between nations and working together to solver world problems.
One of the main reasons people voted to leave was pure racism and fear of immigration, and that's just sad.
