(Note code comments: that long vars in C are 4-byte, while in Java they are 8-byte. Due to the nature of the calculations in this case, this would not affect the result, only the container)

Yes, 'int' size in Java is 4-byte and 'long' size in 'C' is 4-byte. Although as I commented, in this case it should not affect the result.
(Despite this, my approach may contain other errors ;))
