Android Question netwotk signal strength

Can somebody tell me how can i convert network signal strength between dBm and bars? Please help me.

Make a survey by going around (next to a tower or into the celler of your house) and see the signal strength and the bars representation.
Take the signal max and the lowest one and calculate from the interval a 5th for each bar or a 6th if you want to do no signal = all off.

Make a 2nd check by compare your bars and the original one and adjust.

Is a good idea but i need a way (a formula) to convert from dBm to bars and vice versa not only minimal and maximal position.

• 1 bar /20% ca. -102 to -120 dBm
• 2 bars /40% ca. -93 to -101 dBm
• 3 bars /60% ca. -87 to -92 dBm
• 4 bars /80% ca. -78 to -86 dBm
• 5 bars /100% ca. -40 to -77 dBm
• no bars for less than -120dBm
