I've been watching lots of YouTube videos on programming the GPIO.

Here we have my Raspberry Pi Model B and a comprehensive breakout kit.

This is about a quarter of what I've got when it comes to a breakout kit. What's not pictured here is are the motors, relays, more components(resisters, capacitors etc), 2 x 555 timers IC's, 2 x bread boards, buzzer, variable voltage power supply etc.

I definitely want to wither use the remote control, or even better my Nexus 5 and 7 via WiFi to control something.

BUT WHAT???

I would use the motors to run a pully around to pull on my baby's bouncer or his rocking cradle.
