Android Question Panel touch event

Hi,
I have been using this event for a while, but recently i was revisiting the basics and
this question came up:

If i can discriminate up and down, left and right panel swipes,
by examining x and y,( from up and down events,)...

What possible use does the "move" event have.
What could it teach me that i don't know already ?

Am i missing something ?

Thanks for your reply, but i knew this lib already.
Since my most important "gestures" are up/down, left/right swipes, this lib does not really help.
Standard , core, functionality = OK for that.

So my question remains, what is the purpose of the "move" event?
