Record emulator action as a video file?

A program like FRAPS will do that

I think fraps is pay only and possibly only records directx game output in which case you will need a free screen record software.

I use one which is called camstudio and can be downloaded from camstudio.org although if you prefer to capture your apps in use on a real android device there is a pay app on android market called screencast which can record high def video and audio of what your phone is doing.

I knew about the pay thing, but I completely forgot it needed directx.
