Also true, but even if maintenance and continuous improvement is good/advisable/key for apps, I hate the feeling that something that yesterday was ok, tomorrow won't be, not because of bugs or new features, but because of policy/guidelines changes.

Huawei just updated my Mate 10 to Android 8.0. My icons look the same and - in comparison to the new round icons - look somehow better. Icons are good but these times all look "similar due to the circled design" which causes me to "search" for an app.
