Not sure if you guys followed the news but Apple started to refuse apps. that use the deviceID because of privacy laws. Research showed that 56% of apps. have been using this to track users for advertising.
In an earlier discussion I talked about a unique UUID not bound to the device and I think it would be good practice to follow the Apple guideline for Android apps. too.
Wouldn't be surprised if Google moves that way too, especially because they now also started with the privacy policy stuff in the Play publisher account.
In Europe Google is facing some problems with their new privacy mechanism and European Commission is investigating it.
I know it is boring stuff but IMO very important.
My apps. feature a standard policy dialog that needs to be confirmed.
