B4J Question RPi Touchscreen with UI App - views moved??

Using a RPi 2B with a 5" Touchscreen, I am having problems with an UI-App. As demo I have uploaded a simple app. My layout is 800 x 480 as per screen handbuch. The layout has a panel and a single button (position 50,50 with a height and width of 100) with no events attatched. Clicking the panel shows the coordinates in the log.

Try clicking the lower area of the button. With me it does not work but the area directly above the button triggers the button.

I am at a loss to explain this. I have tried with a smaller layout with no success. I know that UI are full screen by default. Can anyone explain what is happening here?

It sounds as if the screen resolution may not match your /boot/config.txt settings, or the screen may need to be calibrated if you are rotating the screen. Don't know if it will help, but I did see this in my prior research:

@Jeffrey Cameron . Thanks for the link. I will check the settings on Monday but I am inclined to think that all is okay. The Raspbian which I am using came with the screen and I only use it in landscape mode.

As for calibration, I calibrate the screen each time after starting the RPi.
