Search string in a webview

Can I search for a string in a webview with a html or pdf loaded ?

You can find items like this by clicking on the Documentation Wiki link (in yellow) at the top of this page and then using its search function (e.g.: "search WebView" brings up the above link).

When I add a WebView search function, I put a panel above it the width of the WebView and just tall enough to hold the search EditText, search-again button, and Back and Exit buttons.
