Like every bussines money management is very important ...
Did you find any resource on how to set up the app price upon user location ?
How should I calculate the price of the app ...

Why should I ask for 4$ in Germany when the app cost 1$ in US .
If the country is poor should I ask for less money , what are the criterias that will give you better conversion rate for the purchases ?

Thank you

I set the same price for all countries.
In the end we are talking here about few $ so no country should be to poor for that.

If u r charging 100$ for your app then its a different story but as long as u charge 1-5$ for your app i would set the same price for all countries.

I beg to differ.

There is indeed a reason for variable pricing based on location, population, poor-rich factor etc. Take for example Google Play offering Nova Launcher for USD1 in US but for INR10 in India, though USD1=INR60 at that time.

People may be price sensitive or may not be able to afford for various reason. But if you offer them in affordable manner you can increase your reach.
Though it does requires extra work in your part.

These are my personal advise. You follow what is best for you.

I dont think as ilan..

$9.99 is not a big money for US citizen but for my country Turkey it is 35 TL which is a daily minimum wage ( nearly ) . You must set the price according to country.

edit: Ilan also said that it does not differ much for 1-5 $ . He is right.

For me its funny.
You are talking about 1$ for an app.
This is insane by itself to sell something that may took you months of work for 1$ and then try to fit it to a weaker population.

If someone is too poor to buy a 1$ app then how does he have a smartphone?? o_Oo_O

Most apps are sold for 1-5$ so in my opinion the price should be the same.

As a costumer i would not like it to see an app that i bought in another country for the half price.

It should also be worth for the developer to make an app and the prices today are anyway a joke so try to make them lower doesnot make sense to me.

Btw i prefer people to use my free app then purchase the "remove ads" package for 1$

ilan,

I gave my advise based on few "business money management" as followed by international business houses including Apple, MS and Google. I am not insisting one should follow it.

Below are a few of latest information marketing strategies by big houses.

1. Nova Launcher Prime is now available for just Rs 10 in India
http://technoatp.com/nova-launcher-prime-now-available-just-rs-10-india/

The prices varies based on your region are as follows:
0.10 GBP UK/ 0.10 EUR (France, Germany, Italy, Spain only)
10 RUB Russia
0.20 AUD Australia
~0.99 USD Everywhere else

See, Google is offering for different price for different region.

2. Reliance Jio Happy New Year Offer: All Services Free Till March 31
http://gadgets.ndtv.com/telecom/new...e-voice-calls-data-till-march-31-2017-1632636

This is an Indian company which is giving all telecom features for FREE and extended for 7 months. Can you get idea how the company will survive ?

So you see, when it comes to price marketing, it is not just 1$ or 100$, but a very complex strategy. Yes it do require extra work, and we programmer are more comfortable in coding than understanding this complex marketing.

Anand

The problem is that it is hard to guess what price is right for a country not to mention a single person.

$1 might be cheap for a specific country but not for an individual person.

Smartphones are so cheap these days that anyone can afford it so that's not the issue anymore.

When you look at computer games in the 80s it was always a lot cheaper in the UK than in Belgium/Holland etc...
So it has always been a problem.

If they don't like the price for the ad remover or ad less 'pro' version they can keep watching the ads instead for free ;)
