In my opinion and as I understand It, a post should not be marked as ‘Solution’ if the post is added by the OP. If the post is made by other than the OP, then the OP can mark it as ‘Solution’. Otherwise, it cheapens the value of ‘Solution’. The OP can of course edit the title of the thread and add [SOLVED] whether he found the solution for himself or someone else helped him with it. Is the interpretation between the two loose.
