Spinner with key/value list

Hey,

Is it possible to make a spinner like view which contains a key/value input dialog? Now, the spinner can only use a string array (values) without the real values (keys).

See it as a key/value pair per item where the value is displayed and the key is hidden in the input dialog. This would be awesome handy for lists retrieved from a database to use in an input form.

You could load the Spinner with the string values and a List with the keys, and get the value of the key depending on the Spinner index.

Yes, that would be a workaround, but I'm searching for a real good solution without extra loops or tricks .
