Described as the moment, probably the millisecond, that machines get smarter than humans.

I feel that just because they will be able to reproduce and have their own society it doesn't mean that they won't want us around.

Others mention that with a robo-girlfriend/boyfriend, indistinguishable from the real thing there will no-longer be a desire for humans to reproduce.

I say won't people always want babies? they are so cute!

Others say that yep, they are cute when they are young but they grow up into truculent teenagers so robo-babies that stay the same age will be a hit.

Some people, surely, will want genuine humans?

I've three kids, ages 5, 14 and 16. Robo kids sound tempting to me ;)
What about Robodogs, I've two troublesome dogs also (nearly 2 years old)!

Only joking of course, for all the trouble they cause me I wouldn't change any of them. :)

Ohh! ooh!

check out a book called 'Don't shoot the dog' by Karen Pryor, she trained Dolphins at sea world and shows us how

it's not really 'manipulating' but using positive reinforcement she can train anything including 'truculent teenagers'

she describes the round of applause her daughter and her friend got when they trained the teacher to walk around the room 'twice' with his hands behind his back.
