For 8 years we have a 18 MBit line (12-13 MBit stable).

We're upgrading our plan to 100 MBit today. To be true: I don't trust my provider to handle that without problems. What are your experiences with your providers?

I have to buy a new "modem" (Fritzbox 7490 - for the German users here - the same I already have but it is "different" = special configuration)

amazing, and in some countries 2Mbit is still high tech.

I pay $93.60 for 50Mbps down and 5Mbps up. (Which is typical for Mainstream internet providers in the US.)

Au$70 for 12/1.5 MB ADSL on old copper lines .. we consider ourself lucky as we are semi-rural and right on the cutoff distance from exchange.
They are currently rolling out the NBN fibre for our town now ... so it will be interesting to see what new plan cost /speed will be.

€39 for 30/4Mbit vDSL + digital tv + telephone (scarlet belgium) still half more expensive than in Holland tho but cheaper than most providers here.

€76 for 200/12Mbit internet + digital tv + phone (Telenet belgium).
The most expensive on the Belgian market but DSL is no option for me since i'm living in a gray zone (too far from the next relay station).
