On a device that does not play the video, uncheck the Log Filter checkbox and look for any related log messages.

The VideoView generates many log entries and one of them may help debug why the video is not playing.

I do not think it is a code issue. the files are successfully copied to the root dir. even if I try to open them directly is the same message "unable to play the video" but if I download any player from market I can see the video perfectly.
my app is already on the market.

VideoView uses the internal media player service to play the video.

The two devices you mention probably doesn't support your video encoding.

You can convert mp4 videos to 3gp online

Video converter to 3GP

Choose the proper size in the "Size of video:" dropdown

Those devices might play the 3gp videos as an alternative

I started using video 3gp but look ugly ....
This is a video that I see in my app.

and choose:

Size of video:

4CIF

704x576

I think it looks the same.

the video looks the same to mp4 format. tomorrow i try terminals indicted.

I converted the video to 3gp and they are seen on phones that would display the mp4.
But the size is increased by triple.

352x288


See if that size, still holds the quality. It should.
And the file size should be reduced by 45%

I may have discovered the arcane. I saved the video in MPEG-4 AVC now I have saved in MPEG-4 ASP and should work. I also tried three times to 3gp but increase in size.
