Hi,
I recently read an article about the current distribution of Android Operating
System versions running on the current installed base of Android hardware devices:
Android 1.5 (Cupcake) 7.9%
Android 1.6 (Donut) 15.0%
Android 2.1 (Eclair) 40.8 %
Android 2.2 (Froyo) 36.2%
Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) The next version to be released.
Will you be able to write programs in Basic4Android that will run on all
of these Android Operating System versions?
A number of the tablet devices are dual-boot devices. Some have a version of the
Android OS in ROM and either Windows 7 or Windows CE 6.0 also in ROM.
A dual-boot device would allow a programmer to use either Basic4PPC
or Basic4Android on the same hardware device.
Some devices are advertised as being tripple-boot devices: Android,
Windows CE and Linux.
