can it run on Win CE .Net 5.0 ?
Win CE .Net 5.0 is just an "internal" name for Windows Mobile 5, so Basic4ppc will run perfectly. You can even test it with the trial version of Basic4ppc.
If you want to use the complete range of some additional libraries, you have to install .Net CF 2.0 on your device, too. But that's no problem at all.
I'm afraid it's not exactly. There is no such thing as Win CE .NET 5.0. .NET is not part of Windows CE 5.0 but is an optional component. Also, although they are built on the same code base, Windows CE is not the same as Windows Mobile. See here http://www.basic4ppc.com/forum/questions-help-needed/3876-my-first-request-help-form.html and the Wikipedia link there.
Thanks for correcting me! Should have googled before answering... :sign0013:
Yes, there is: Microsoft Windows CE .NET 5.0 Professional Edition
I think they've made that up. Microsoft always refers to it as Windows Mobile 5.0 Windows Mobile 5.0 althouogh for Windows Mobile 6 they dropped the decimal point Windows Mobile 6 but brought it back for 6.1
