I would like it equal to:

dim str1="pls input:"&quote&"abc"&quote&"in the edittext" as string

I'd like to see support for escape characters too but in B4A v2.50 double quotes in string literals will be treated as a single quote. This will work for your example:

dim str1="pls input:""abc""in the edittext" as string
