Writing apps on tablet

Will it be possible to write apks directly on tablets with out using pc?

If you use a remote desktop application, to control a windows PC, yes. But I know this is not what you wanted to hear.

The BasicIDE app allows you to write "quick and dirty programs on an Android device". But it's just not the same thing.
