Android Question gmail smtp attachment speed

Hi ,
i tried to upload jpg file with my android program, everything is ok but my problem is speed of attachment !
when i tried attach with android i can see my speed for attachment is ~50-80 KB and when i tried attach with my laptop i can see my speed is ~1-2 MBps .
why it happened ?

i think mozilla is use multi trading(multi connection ) for upload file like IDM ( internet download manager ) or filezilla and my program not !

please advice me .

What is the attachments size?

I don't recommend you to use SMTP for non-small files. First it needs to encode the file with base64 encoding which can slow it down and increase the file size by 33%.
Secondly the SMTP library does everything in memory. So it may run out of memory.

FTP or Http will be better here.
